THE MANOR, CROYDE: MONTHLY FOR UNDER 16’S
Once a month Sophie and Katie host an Open Mic aimed at under 16’s at The Manor family pub in Croyde (North Devon) from 6.30-8.15pm.
Children are often naturally fabulous performers. The aim with these sessions is to encourage young people to perform outside of school where, in front of classroom teachers they may feel restricted or nervous. Hopefully by performing in a fun environment from a young age they could bypass any self conscious phases that could prevent them from getting up and singing or playing an instrument in public.
A NOTE FROM KATIE:
“Singing in public was something I was scared of as a youngster, however I was comfortable playing instruments in public. I wish I’d had a light-hearted outlet to nip this singing fear in the bud! Contact me through the site for any more information. Come along and have fun!”
